Week 9- Superhero

Hi! I am the Master of Learning and (teaching) of course. I am multilingual and can speak various different languages. My home county is the United States, but I can speak a numerous amount of languages such as English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Arabic. I have been all over Europe, South America, and Africa. My superpowers include being kind, helping others, including everyone, and making my classroom a safe space for everyone.
My classroom will always be a safe space, especially for my ENL students. For this activity, my focus subject is ELA. I noticed in the past when I previously helped out ENL students, they had trouble writing. They would have trouble putting the words in the right sequence. Each and everyday students will write in their journal, and those who have trouble will sit and the writing table with me the Master of Learning and she’ll give them a mini-lesson on how to place the words correctly, so the sentence makes sense. Ms. Mal will spend 15-20 minutes with the students so they can improve their writing.
         The Master of Learning superpowers will be posted everywhere so they can remind everyone how to act in the classroom. Everyone will have fun learning and it will be a great experience for all students that they have the Master of Learning for their teachers.

The article The Future of Education is in Two Languages was a very interesting read. In the article, Fabice talks about three objectives leaning towards bilingualism. The first objective is to espouse cultures specific to families and linguistic communities and promote this cultural heritage as an important part of the mosaic of society. The second objective is to help facilitate reconciliation between parents and schools and encourage a fruitful dialogue between parents, school administrators, and educational professions. The third and final objective is to promote a social, economic, and cultural environment that is respectful of all and helps to bridge the gulfs that divide us today.
